Greetings and salutations!

I started a blog about a month ago on Quora, but decided to exercise my right as a Fickle Woman and move house to WordPress. Welcome! Please join me for my ride!

I have diverse tastes and interests, so this will not be a highly focused blog. I love art, history, anything Celtic, travel, books, and all sorts of strange things. I shall be hosting some authors for interviews, blogging about my journey to become an author, experiences at art shows, my travels, and cool facts about places no one has heard of.

Enjoy!

Celtic Fairies, Fables, and Folklore! Bestselling author (top #100 Amazon Canada, #1 in Paranormal Fantasy, Amazon Canada) Christy Nicholas, also known as Green Dragon, is an author, artist and accountant. After she failed to become an airline pilot, she quit her ceaseless pursuit of careers that begin with 'A', and decided to concentrate on her writing. Since she has Project Completion Disorder, she is one of the few authors with NO unfinished novels. Christy has her hands in many crafts, including digital art, beaded jewelry, writing, and photography. In real life, she's a CPA, but having grown up with art all around her (her mother, grandmother and great-grandmother are/were all artists), it sort of infected her, as it were. She wants to expose the incredible beauty in this world, hidden beneath the everyday grime of familiarity and habit, and share it with others. She uses characters out of time and places infused with magic and myth. Combine this love of beauty with a bit of financial sense and you get an art business. She does local art and craft shows, as well as sending her art to various science fiction conventions throughout the country and abroad. 1. Your site is intriguing and images stunning. Cannot wait to expore! I too have diverse interests. Writing is my first love but when lazy and faced with writer’s block I delightedly partake in the various photo challenges though I am by no means a photographer and lack any technical ability whatsoever. Rather, I love the creativity the contests allow. I enjoy local color type photos which depict everyday life. My mother was born in Ireland and I was lucky enought to spend several summers there on vacation so your images especially the Dark Hedges (I must visit that site!) immediately captured me. My dad was Scottish but we only visited there once as children. I long to return and visit the the banks of Loch Ness and his home town in Glasgow. One of my last memories of him in the hospital before succumbing to congestive heart failure was him singing “You Take The High Road, and I’ll take the Low Road, but I’ll be in Scotland before yee.” I never knew the meaning of that line till he explained it, haunting and sad but beautiful too. Have a wonderful day and thank you for visiting my blog! Perhaps you may get some time to read one or two of my favorite stories about my parents. Both are short and entertaining! Have great day. https://nynkblog.wordpress.com/2014/11/29/please-mom-may-ive-some-more-2/ https://nynkblog.wordpress.com/2014/11/23/in-the-company-of-women-2/
