I am no stranger to Ren Faires. I’ve worked as both performer and vendor at the Italian Renaissance Festivsl at Viscaya in Miami (sadly now kaput), and Hoggetown Medieval Faire in Gainesville, Florida. I have attended many others over the years, and love the community and atmosphere, even as a mere Patron.
Pittsburgh Ren Faire has a great balance that renders it both intimate and interesting. The vendors are varied and friendly, and the food options have increased from prior years. They serve cider now, which thrills me to no end.
Next year, I hope to be a vendor and peddle my jewelry and prints. Wish me luck!
