After almost 11 hours on the road, we have arrived at Nerdigras. My body aches for sleep, but the gallons of caffeine I’ve pumped into my body cries NO!
Tuesday night I had the normal Pre-Con excitement jitters, so maybe logged about 4 hours of sleep.
I can’t sleep in the car at all. While Natile took half the driving, I gave her the first half so she wouldn’t have to deal with morning rush hour traffic in Atlanta. It took two five hour energies and three big doses of iced caramel mocha, but I stayed awake.
We checked in and got to our room by 7am. I tried to run off some of the jitters by filling the cooler with ice and arranging the room. But while we both lay down for naps, the muscles in my legs continues to jump and tingle.
It’s now 9am, and I’ve given up trying. No matter. Tonight I shall sleep the sleep of the dead. For now I may go wander the halls and revel in the still-echoing halls, the calm before the storm, while my roommates slumber.
Lots to do today. Sign up for gaming (Settlers of Catan tournament), set up art show panels, get badges, meet with friends. Guess I’ll go people watch for now!

No, I’m hoping to do the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival next year. It’s six weekends starting mid-August.
