Technically, Dragoncon doesn’t start until Friday at noon.
Try telling that to the thousands of people already streaming into each of the host hotels like army ants spoiling for a feast.
Speaking of feasts, I had my first meal of the con. Shawarma, of course
We spent the day meeting new friends, catching up with old friends, getting registrations dealt with, and reserving next years’ hotel room.
Yes, that’s right. 2016 rooms are available now for those who already have rooms at some of the host hotels. Which is a great idea, if the line to get said reservation wasn’t nearly three hours long. That isn’t an exaggeration.
On the upside, registration for the con was less than 15 minutes. It has been 4 hours or more in the past. Progress!!!
