Legacy of Hunger – Introducing Valentia McDowell

IMG_2517

Valentia McDowell was a rather spoiled young lady, living on her father’s wealthy dairy farm near Canton, Ohio. She was bored with life, and decided she needed some adventure. Of course, the constant unwanted advances from the Odious Nicholas didn’t help.

Since her grandmamma had emigrated from Ireland when she was but a child, Valentia had heard stories of this magical land her entire life. And she had been told of a mysterious family heirloom, an intricate, delicate brooch, that had been left behind in the Old Country.

Determined to find any long-lost family and perhaps even find this haunting brooch, Valentia decided that she must take on a quest and search these things out. She had no idea what she was getting into.  Ireland in 1846 was in the throes of a potato blight that would wrack the already depressed nation into a horrible Hunger, halving the population to death and emigration before it was done. It was no place for a gently born young lady.

This ebook, my premiere novel, is now ready for pre-order at a special price of $0.99. It will go up to $4.99 after it releases on October 23rd, so get your copy now!
