Mountain Walks in Scotland and Ireland

I’m not a true hiker.

I’m a fair-day hiker at best, and in short spurts. I’m overweight, out of shape, and have poor ankles, and have no wish to spend hundreds of dollars on specialized equipment. However, on a non-raining, non-snowing day, I enjoy a nice walk out in the woods or up a hill.

When I’m on vacation, of course, this urge is higher, as there are places to explore and hidden gems to find in the nooks and crannies of a new land. This is the time you are MEANT to go and find what’s along that path, or over that hill.

So go, find a hill, climb it. Discover what you may. Keep that discovery in your soul to remember on a day with rain, or with a broken leg, or with aching joints, to remember when you could explore.
