When a new writer arrives at this crazy thing we call the publishing world, they are eager to get their work out. Some jump at the first opportunity to publish not realizing they are walking right into a trap. Others spam and annoy the older story dragons get blocked and occasionally swatted down. A few take a few moments to at least learn a bit about all of this before the rejection slips start piling up and swallow them whole.
It’s no wonder that many of those fresh faces disappear a month, or even a few years after their appearance. Dishearted, they crawl back from where they started. Maybe to return after they’ve learned a few lessons. Some never to be seen again.
