The Enchanted Swans is done, at least the first draft. This is a novelization of the Children of Lir, a beloved ancient Irish tale. Several months ago, I announced a contest. Whomever came closest to guessing the final word count would win a mention in the novel.
Well, the time has come… drum roll…. the final word count was… 90,548!
The guesses were:
Aethereal Engineer: 101,349
Terri Mulvani: 115,000
Shellie BeaudryL 103,257
Kally Jo Surbeck: 92,000
Gigi Neptune: 113,469
Maryeileen Corcoran: 81,000
Patrice Brosnahan Fryklund: 115,801
Catherine Hokin: 103,750
Therefore, our winner is….. Kally Jo Surbeck!
Congratulations, Kally Jo! You get to be a character in the novel 🙂
Thanks to everyone who participated. It will likely be a year before this bad boy gets published, but I’m really happy with the first draft. I’ll keep everyone updated on the progress.
