I honor my ancestors- those that came before me- those that stand beside me in the eddies of time.

I honor my family- family by fated blood relation- family by recognition and adoption

I honor the blood that passes through my heart- a crimson thread that connects me to what lies behind – connects me as I bequeath to the future

I honor the mistakes I have made in the last year- missteps in understanding- actions taught by fear

I honor my growth in this wheel’s turning- enjoying the divine in those around me- hearing more clearly the rhymes of creation

I honor the Eternal Rebirth- to be born to suffer to learn- to return to the divine and share our lessons

I honor those who feel the loss of Death-their tears and pain- their strength and recovery

I honor those who have passed this year into Summerlands- lessons in your departure- hope in rebirth

I honor the Divine who has brought me again to this day- a time of gratitude- and day of recognition
