Sometimes dragons, magical lights, and fantasy iconography aren’t the right choice. But visual drama always works. This book is simple, almost non-fiction in it’s feel. But it does spell out (literally) that it’s a novel. The simple white figurines with a few select ones in red are intriguing, hinting at a social thriller. Most thriller covers have a dark overall feel, but this one is almost more haunting for the white/bright color scheme. What’s more interesting is that this was written in 2015 and is about a highly contagious virus pandemic.
