Normally, this would be way too many colors for me. However, this totally works for this cover. The overall night theme and dark blue ties it together, and since this is a fairy tell retelling based on a Chinese story, the colors are both appropriate and intriguing. I love the stylized flowers, and the swirling artwork in both the clouds and her clothing. I’m not a fan of the font on the quote, it seems too whimsical compared to the lovely Serif font of the title. However, again because it’s a fairy tale re-telling, it just about works.
