Even though I’ve seen this font a hundred times lately on book covers, I love it. And I adore the gradient given here, to imitate the glow of the sunset around the castle. The addition of the flock of birds adds a dramatic, dynamic element to what might otherwise be too static. I might have increased the brightness of the author’s name, but that’s a minor change. Also, not sure I like the spacing of the tagline, not center but not left-justified. It does cascade with the title, (which is a very long title, by the way!), so it does work, it just bothers my need for symmetry. The colors are fantastic, warm and simple, without sacrificing detail or tone.
